A rapidly expanding construction-focused company based in Algona, Washington, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This key role will take ownership of maintaining precise financial records, overseeing project accounting functions, and contributing to the company’s continued growth and upcoming merger initiatives. The Senior Accountant will manage the full accounting cycle—from month-end close and reconciliations to in-depth job cost analysis—while partnering closely with project managers and executive leadership to deliver accurate, transparent financial insights. Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 + Bonus/yearly DOE

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and revenue
• Collaborate with project managers to resolve financial discrepancies
• Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Support audit preparation, tax filings, and compliance reporting

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of overall accounting experience
• Construction industry background required
• Proficiency with Viewpoint software
• Advanced Excel and Word skills
• Strong technical accounting foundation and analytical mindset
