They are seeking a Production Planner to serve as the central link between project management, engineering, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service. Salary Range: $28 – $35 / hour DOE (Temp-to-Hire, $60,000 – $85,000 / year DOE upon conversion)
Production Planner Requirements:
- 3–4 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows from engineering through shipping
Production Planner Responsibilities:
- Provide regular status updates on projects and shop activities
- Serve as the communication point between project managers and other departments
- Attend weekly production and project management meetings, plus bi-weekly sequence update meetings
- Track customer service sales orders and update item status reports
- Coordinate with purchasing on delivery dates for third-party items and adjust schedules as needed
- Anticipate timelines, identify potential delays, and make quick, informed decisions to meet deadlines
- Communicate sequence or schedule changes to all stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve issues to keep projects moving forward
