Advance your career with a growing commercial real estate management firm in San Jose, California, seeking a Junior Property Manager to oversee six shopping centers totaling 400,000 square feet. This role involves managing tenant relations, coordinating maintenance, reviewing leases, and ensuring smooth property operations. Ideal for someone with 3-4 years of commercial property management experience, strong financial acumen, and excellent communication skills. Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 / year DOE

Junior Property Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of six shopping centers in the San Jose area
  • Conduct site visits to identify improvements and ensure property standards
  • Manage tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly
  • Coordinate with maintenance and vendors to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Review and manage lease agreements and tenant improvement projects
  • Track financials, including receivables, NOI, and variances, for management reporting
  • Source and manage vendor contracts, including negotiations and oversight of work
  • Maintain records using MRI, Avid Exchange, P Vault, Microsoft 365, and Asana
  • Communicate updates and progress to management and cross-functional teams

Junior Property Manager Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of commercial property management or related experience
  • Strong understanding of lease agreements and tenant improvement projects
  • Financial acumen including NOI and receivables management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience sourcing vendors and managing contracts
  • Ability to oversee multiple tenants and projects from start to finish
  • Familiarity with triple net leases (taxes, insurance, CAM)
  • Professional credentials such as CPM designation or a Real Estate License preferred
  • Knowledge of the permitting system in the San Jose area preferred
