This remote Application Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the technical point of contact for customers, from the initial sales process through implementation and ongoing support. You will be a key player in delivering software setup, training, demos, and first-level support, while collaborating closely with sales and development teams. Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000 / year DOE 

Application Engineer Requirements:   

• 3+ years of software support or implementation experience 
• Familiarity with databases (MS SQL Server) 
• Understanding of technical workflows, ideally CNC, CAD/CAM, or tooling 
• Experience in software serving manufacturing companies highly preferred 
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred 
• Strong organizational and client-facing skills 
• Ability to travel ~50% across North America for client visits 

Application Engineer Responsibilities: 

• Serve as the main technical contact for clients during sales, implementation, and ongoing support 
• Install software, provide training (online and on-site), and conduct demos 
• Offer first-level technical support and troubleshoot issues for the programming team 
• Guide customers through implementation projects and document workflows 
• Test new software releases and contribute to training materials 
• Support the sales team with presentations and client meetings
