Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 / year DOE

Accounting/Finance Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and freight bills for accuracy and timely payment
• Utilize a transportation management system (TMS) to manage shipments, reconcile freight charges, and streamline billing workflows
• Reconcile carrier statements and resolve billing or rate discrepancies
• Prepare customer invoices including accessorial charges
• Maintain AP/AR records and supporting documentation
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Collaborate with operations to validate billing and shipment costs
• Generate aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Prepare financial analysis on freight costs, client profitability, and budget vs. actual performance

Accounting/Finance Specialist Requirements:

• 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• 6+ months of logistics or 3PL industry experience
• Strong familiarity with TMS platforms
• Strong accounting foundation in AP, AR, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Solid financial understanding of cash flow, profitability, budget vs. actuals, and compliance
• Knowledge of freight billing, auditing, customer invoicing, and freight charges
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to collaborate with cross-functional teams
