A dynamic security services team in Humble, Texas is seeking a licensed Fire Alarm Technician to join their hands-on operations, keeping commercial and industrial properties safe and compliant. In this role, the technician will install, program, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm and extinguisher systems in high-rise condos, apartment buildings, and other commercial facilities. The ideal candidate is skilled, self-motivated, and thrives working independently in the field while delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with clients.

Fire Alarm Technician Responsibilities: 

• Travel to client sites with occasional trips to surrounding cities
• Install, program, inspect, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm and extinguisher systems
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and installations
• Use manufacturer-specific software to configure and test fire alarm panels and devices
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on all job sites
• Respond to on-call service requests on a rotating schedule
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with clients regarding system needs and updates
• Manage service vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for all assignments

Fire Alarm Technician Requirements:

• Valid fire alarm (FAL) and fire extinguisher (FEL) licenses, FEL K preferred
• 2-5 years of experience working with commercial fire alarm and extinguisher systems
• Strong troubleshooting, programming, and hands-on repair skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned territory
• Basic computer skills and comfort using software on tablets or mobile devices
• Familiarity with safety equipment including hard hats, vests, gloves, and steel-toed footwear
