A rapidly growing, privately held financial services firm in Las Vegas is seeking an AVP of Human Resources to bring structure and sophistication to its expanding HR function. This role serves as a high-level strategic partner, overseeing multi-state HR operations, payroll, compliance, and talent management while modernizing systems and processes. AVP of Human Resources Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with evolving business objectives and long-term growth
  • Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes across multiple states to ensure smooth transitions
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, adapting practices for multi-state operations
  • Oversee payroll administration, benefits programs, and performance reviews to maintain strong talent density
  • Evaluate, upgrade, and maintain HRIS platforms, streamlining workflows and operational efficiency
  • Guide employee relations and handle conflicts with diplomacy, fairness, and discretion
  • Deliver meaningful HR metrics and trend analyses to leadership for data-driven decision-making
  • Champion staff training, coaching, and engagement initiatives to enhance professional development
  • Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, retention strategies, and culture-building efforts

AVP of Human Resources Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in human resources management
  • Proven success as an HR leader in a fast-growing or scaling organization
  • Multi-state HR experience and deep knowledge of employment laws
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; HR certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Skilled in implementing HRIS systems and adopting new technologies to modernize operations
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working independently while offering strategic input at the executive level
