A well-established family-owned company in Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a passionate Outside Sales Representative to drive business development in the data center vertical. This role focuses on identifying and closing new client opportunities, managing strategic relationships, and delivering comprehensive electrical solutions. Ideal candidates have experience in commercial construction sales and enjoy a hunter-style sales environment with autonomy and growth potential. The position offers a flexible schedule, unlimited earnings potential, and the chance to work with a collaborative, fast-paced team. Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within data center construction, including greenfield and retrofit projects
  • Drive revenue growth by influencing specifications, developing contractors, and engaging end-users
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers across electrical contracting, engineering, and owner-rep communities
  • Lead the full sales process from opportunity discovery, quote collaboration, value engineering, through project closing
  • Partner with internal teams on switchgear, lighting, medium-voltage cable, controls, and wire solutions for cohesive proposals
  • Utilize value-added services like project staging, panel builds, and inventory management to differentiate offerings
  • Maintain CRM updates, pipeline visibility, and internal reporting to align with growth and forecast goals

Outside Sales Representative Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial construction sales within electrical distribution and data center environments
  • Deep understanding of data center construction, customer pain points, and long project lifecycles
  • Technical knowledge or aptitude in electrical systems including medium-voltage cable, switchgear, controls, and lighting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a hunter-style sales approach
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but relevant experience will be considered
