A growing renewable energy company in Vermont is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to oversee daily operations at a new dairy RNG facility. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, performing routine maintenance, and calibrating instrumentation across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on industrial plant experience, comfortable working outdoors in variable weather, and willing to take on a diverse set of responsibilities. Plant Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

Monitor and troubleshoot processing skids, boiler, and equipment rooms to ensure smooth plant operations

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems

Calibrate pressure, flow, and gas instrumentation using specialized communicators for accurate readings

Maintain digester and gas conditioning processes to optimize renewable natural gas production

Respond to equipment issues and call-outs promptly, especially during the plant startup and commissioning phase

Conduct media changeouts on H2S vessels and maintain outdoor equipment in harsh weather conditions

Assist in training and mentoring junior onsite staff while supporting plant integration and workflow improvements

Plant Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Industrial plant maintenance or electromechanical experience
• Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Ability to live within 45 minutes of the plant for on-call needs
• Military maintenance experience preferred (Navy, Air Force, Army)
• Knowledge of digester gas or RNG processes is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
