As an Outside Sales Account Executive, you will be the driving force behind new business growth—upselling and creating tailored solutions for midsize and large corporations transitioning from paper-based systems to digital workflows. This is a high-impact role for a motivated sales professional eager to develop within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where success is recognized and rewarded. 

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 / year DOE + commissions 

Outside Sales Account Executive Requirements:  

  • 5–10 years of experience selling custom software, SaaS (subscription model), or cloud services 
  • Strong understanding of subscription-based software solutions, automation, and document management technology 
  • Track record of sourcing and closing new business while managing and upselling existing accounts 
  • Experience responding to and completing RFPs 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong client rapport 
  • Creative, innovative, and highly driven with the ability to differentiate solutions in competitive markets 

Outside Sales Account Executive Responsibilities: 

  • Source, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across enterprise clients 
  • Manage and expand existing accounts, upselling, and farming for additional opportunities 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and complete RFPs 
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and occasional travel to customer sites and industry trade shows 
  • Manage 30–40 deals annually with sales cycles ranging from 2 weeks to several months 
  • Represent the company as a trusted advisor in the digital document solutions industry
