Job Description

A growing and innovative manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, and maintain accurate and timely records. This role will lead the monthly close process, prepare and review financial statements, and oversee AP/AR activities while supporting strategic decision-making and fostering strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving process improvements.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 year / DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly close process for both P&L and balance sheet
  • Oversee and review AP/AR activities, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform and review monthly account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure all accounting practices comply with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
  • Approve and oversee setup of new suppliers and customers with required documentation and compliance checks
  • Support tax preparation for external CPA
  • Lead development, review, and monitoring of annual operating budget and performance projections
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting
  • Oversee payroll administration and employee benefit processing
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide strategic insights into the company’s financial health

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • AP/AR experience with ability to review and oversee staff accountant work
  • Proven experience with month-end close, reconciliations, P&L, balance sheets, and budgets
  • Experience preparing annual financial statements with a strategic and big-picture approach
  • Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
