Job Description

A dynamic plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant / Paralegal to join their team in San Francisco. This is an exciting opportunity to support a leading trial attorney in high-profile, complex litigation from intake through trial. The ideal candidate is organized, independent, and passionate about social justice and employment law.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000 / year DOE

Litigation Assistant / Paralegal Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support across 5 active, complex litigation matters
  • Manage calendaring, e-filing, and case scheduling with precision
  • Assist with discovery processes including drafting, reviewing, and organizing documents
  • Lead trial preparation including binder creation, trial exhibit management, and daily court submissions
  • Support attorney with case intake and client communication
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping using Time Slips and assist with administrative tasks
  • Draft and maintain legal documents using MS Word and manage files with iManage and File Sight
  • Anticipate and meet deadlines; proactively manage changing priorities
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion with sensitive and confidential information

Litigation Assistant / Paralegal Requirements:

  • 7+ years of litigation support or paralegal experience in civil litigation
  • Prior trial experience required, employment litigation or civil rights strongly preferred
  • Experience in employment law, personal injury, or insurance defense highly desirable
  • Strong command of e-filing and litigation calendaring protocols in California state courts
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Time Slips, iManage, and cloud-based DMS platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be passionate about plaintiff-side litigation and social justice issues
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
