Cleveland is growing, and a national powerhouse in labor and employment law is strengthening its Employment Litigation team with a Mid-Senior Level Associate. The ideal candidate is ready to take ownership of complex defense matters from day one. This attorney will work alongside multiple partners on a diverse range of employment litigation cases across federal and state courts, handling discovery, drafting and arguing motions, managing depositions, and participating in mediations. Mid-Senior Level Associate Responsibilities:
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Argue motions and participate in mediations, hearings, and negotiations
- Work collaboratively with multiple partners across varied casework
- Deliver responsive and strategic client service with precision and professionalism
- Contribute to team-based culture and actively seek opportunities for involvement and growth
Mid-Senior Level Associate Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of employment litigation or complex commercial litigation experience
- Experience in employment law preferred, but strong defense-side litigation considered
- Admitted to the Ohio State Bar
- Excellent academic credentials, writing ability, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-driven work ethic—not a passive or hands-off contributor
- Strong presence, courtroom confidence, and collaborative mindset
- Stable work history
