Job Description
A dynamic manufacturing company in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a CNC Programmer to support the production of high-precision components. This hands-on role involves programming and operating CNC machines, building and maintaining molds, and contributing to the creation of specialized parts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in CNC machining or mold making, thrive in a collaborative environment, and be eager to take ownership of critical tooling projects. Candidates with managerial-level experience are also encouraged to apply, as the role can be shaped to fit senior-level expertise.
CNC Programmer Responsibilities:
- Design and program CNC machines to produce high-precision plastic components
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, and EDM equipment
- Build, assemble, and disassemble mold tooling for cleaning, maintenance, and repair
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure part quality and efficiency
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD/CAM designs to achieve tight tolerances
- Support troubleshooting and process improvement within the toolroom and production floor
- Contribute to new mold builds as well as ongoing production runs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
CNC Programmer Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a CNC programmer or mold maker
- Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
- Hands-on experience with mold tooling, machining, and repair
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or HyperMill (or comparable systems)
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work onsite with occasional weekend support for production needs
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality manufacturing
