A rapidly growing provider of innovative power conversion solutions is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee its electrical cabinet and UPS system production. This hands-on leader will drive daily production operations, ensure quality and delivery timelines, and lead a 15-person team including assemblers, testers, and technicians. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, process-driven manager with strong leadership experience in custom electronics or power system manufacturing.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate daily production operations and team meetings
• Ensure project timelines, quality standards, and on-time delivery goals are met
• Review and manage production schedules and inventory levels
• Supervise and mentor a team of 15+ production staff
• Interface with engineering on design for manufacturability and assembly instructions
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service to align on priorities
• Identify and implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment
• Monitor quality issues and participate in weekly QC reviews
• Track team attendance, vacation, and productivity metrics
• Contribute to ERP and system modernization efforts

Production Manager Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, including 3+ in power systems
• Proven supervisory experience leading teams of 10+
• Expertise in CAD software for creating assembly instructions
• Strong Excel skills
• Solid understanding of AC/DC power systems, UPS manufacturing, and system testing
• Experience in high-volume, highly customized production
• Must be highly proactive, accountable, and solutions-focused
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, 5S, and Just-In-Time manufacturing
• Experience working in telecom, industrial, or power backup sectors is a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SQL-based systems
