Job Description

A trusted producer of premium pickled vegetables and maraschino cherries is seeking a QA Supervisor to join its quality-focused operations team. This hands-on role oversees quality documentation, ensures compliance with regulatory and third-party audit standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining HACCP, GMP, and QACCP compliance while working closely with production staff, senior QA leadership, and external auditors. They are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a background in food and beverage quality assurance who thrives in a collaborative, family-oriented environment and is ready to grow with the company.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000 / year DOE

QA Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality assurance documentation and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, QACCP, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and enforce document control across cannery operations; update SOPs and specifications as needed
  • Provide on-site QA support for the production of pickled vegetables and maraschino cherries
  • Prepare for and assist with FDA, GFSI, WSDA, USDA, and third-party audits
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop, maintain, and train staff on quality and food safety programs
  • Assist with risk assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Support continuous improvement projects during slower production seasons

QA Supervisor Requirements:

  • 2–3+ years of quality assurance experience in the food & beverage industry
  • Experience with internal and external audits
  • Proven background in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and document compliance
  • Strong skills in writing and updating SOPs
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • HACCP, SQF, PCQI, or food safety auditing certifications is a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred
