A family-owned commercial general contracting firm with a national footprint is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join their growing team. This is a key role responsible for creating detailed and competitive bid proposals for commercial and multifamily construction projects ranging from new builds to renovations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong relationship management skills to help the company win work and build long-term client partnerships. Senior Estimator Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timely, and competitive bid proposals for commercial and multifamily construction projects
• Maintain and grow subcontractor and supplier relationships to support the bid process
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, job site inspections, and client interactions as needed
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and project specifications
• Evaluate and quantify project scope, labor, and material requirements
• Assist in project hand-offs and collaborate closely with project managers and superintendents
• Track historical data to improve future pricing strategies
• Attend occasional in-person client or job site meetings

Senior Estimator Requirements:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or multifamily construction
• Ability to create full bid packages independently
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, iSqFt, BidClerk, PlanHub, or similar estimating tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats
• Degree is preferred but not required
• Previous sales or client development experience is a plus
• Understanding of new build vs. demo/rebuild processes
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and represent the company professionally
