Job Description

An established high-end commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Coordinator in New York, NY. This pivotal role supports full-cycle commercial construction projects with a strong focus on administrative coordination and client interaction. The Project Coordinator will manage contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation, while also overseeing expense tracking, blueprint review, and coordination with accounting, subcontractors, and site supervisors. Additional responsibilities include assisting with housing logistics for traveling superintendents and maintaining detailed project records. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces a flexible mindset, and is eager to grow within a white-glove, coaching-focused culture.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 / year DOE

Project Coordinator Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of commercial construction projects once awarded
  • Draft and manage subcontractor contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports for project managers and clients
  • Communicate with accounting to ensure timely payments to subcontractors
  • Assist with housing and travel logistics for field staff
  • Organize and participate in project meetings, tracking action items and minutes
  • Support PMs and Supers with blueprint reviews and construction documentation
  • Provide client updates, manage photo documentation requirements, and ensure white-glove service

Project Coordinator Requirements: 

  • 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction project coordination
  • Hands-on experience with blueprints, RFIs, and submittals
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Client-facing experience with excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working 100% onsite in a small, fast-moving office
  • Proficiency in Procore and/or PlanGrid preferred
  • Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred
  • Retail, restaurant, or hospitality construction experience is highly preferred
