Job Description

A fast-growing, innovative manufacturing leader in Concord, NC, specializing in precision components for industrial and transportation applications, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer. This role will play a critical part in advancing prototype projects into high-volume production with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working closely with operators, quality assurance, and management to optimize machining processes. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. This position offers an opportunity to influence process improvements and contribute to the company’s growth and success.

CNC Programmer Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs primarily using Esprit software to maximize machine efficiency and part quality
  • Manage programming for various precision components including transmission parts, ball bearing assemblies, and aerospace-related pieces
  • Collaborate with operators, quality control, and plant management to ensure seamless production and testing accuracy
  • Document processes thoroughly to meet stringent quality and compliance standards
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on delivering reliable programs that meet exacting specifications
  • Participate actively in prototype to production transitions for new product lines
  • Continuously evaluate and improve programming methods for better throughput and fewer errors
  • Communicate clearly and regularly across teams to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues quickly

CNC Programmer Requirements: 

  • Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience, ideally with exposure to Mastercam, Esprit, or comparable software
  • Experience in manufacturing environments requiring tight tolerances and quality documentation
  • Ability to work hands-on and engage directly with shop floor teams and management
  • Proven problem solver with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator comfortable collaborating across departments
  • Associate degree in Engineering or related field preferred but experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite, with some flexibility for personal appointments or occasional remote work
