Job Description

A respected family law practice from Rocklin, CA is seeking two Family Law Attorneys to join its growing legal team, known for its expertise in litigation, mediation, and collaborative practice. These are hybrid roles that offer flexible in-office expectations following an initial training period. Attorneys will manage an active caseload, appear in court multiple times per week, and oversee client relationships from intake through resolution. This is a strong opportunity for professionals who enjoy courtroom advocacy, want autonomy in their practice, and are motivated by a revenue-based compensation model. The firm is looking for personable, well-presented attorneys who can connect with clients, are committed to family law, and are ready to build a long-term future within a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Salary: $120,000 year / DOE

Family Law Attorney Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a caseload of 30-40 family law cases within 6 months, depending on case complexity
  • Conduct client meetings and provide regular communication with current and potential clients
  • Appear in court up to 3 days per week
  • Prepare legal pleadings, memos, and declarations
  • Work closely with paralegals on judicial counsel forms, disclosures, and discovery tasks
  • Collaborate with partners and associates to ensure quality service and client satisfaction
  • Generate revenue and meet monthly production goals

Family Law Attorney Requirements: 

  • Active California Bar license required
  • 1–2 years of family law experience ideal; open to candidates with more experience
  • Will consider newly barred attorneys only if they have completed family law clerkships and demonstrate strong commitment to the field
  • Backgrounds in other practice areas such as criminal, personal injury, immigration, or business litigation will be considered if there is clear interest in family law
  • Must be able to attend in-person court appearances and client meetings regularly
  • Personable, with strong communication skills and the ability to connect with clients on a personal and professional level
  • Excellent legal writing skills and high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and dependable, able to manage a full caseload and meet monthly revenue targets
