Job Description
A well-established and family-oriented commercial plumbing contractor is seeking a highly organized and dependable Project Administrator to support their project management team. In this critical role, you’ll assist with preparing documentation, managing change orders, coordinating with field staff, and ensuring project records are accurate and organized. Salary Range: $83,200 – $93,600 / year DOE
Project Administrator Responsibilities:
- Collect extra work tickets from project foremen and field staff
- Complete detailed labor and material breakdowns using Excel templates
- Attach supporting documentation such as photos, RFIs, ASIs, and correspondence
- Track, revise, and follow up on outstanding change orders with the Project Manager
- Draft professional emails and coordinate submission processes
- Organize both digital and physical files for audit-readiness and efficient access
- Learn basic plumbing components to assist with pricing and accuracy
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in documentation
Project Administrator Requirements:
- 2+ years of data entry or administrative experience in the construction industry (commercial or residential)
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Prior experience in plumbing or commercial construction is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be comfortable in a traditional work culture
