A thriving ophthalmology and optometry group in Missoula, Montana is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join their team. This full-service, regional referral center delivers comprehensive eye care with advanced equipment, a supportive team, and strong professional collaboration. In this role, the Optometrist will provide full-scope eye care, including exams, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education, while working closely with experienced assistants and visiting specialists. Optometrist Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision health and identify potential eye conditions
• Diagnose and manage visual disorders such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia
• Prescribe corrective lenses, specialty contact lenses, and other visual aids tailored to patient needs
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including cataract and LASIK procedures
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, referring providers, and healthcare staff for integrated patient care
• Educate patients on long-term eye health, contact lens care, and preventative strategies
• Accurately maintain and update patient medical records, insurance documentation, and clinical notes
• Ensure all diagnostic and treatment equipment is calibrated and operating properly for quality care

Optometrist Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution
• Active optometry license in the state of Montana or ability to obtain
• Experience in patient diagnosis, treatment, and education
• Comfortable working independently in a smaller clinic setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with managed care plans and third-party insurance
• Detail-oriented with commitment to maintaining accurate records
