A well-established steel fabrication and construction company in Pomona, CA is hiring a detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a 3–6 month contract. The focus will be on cleaning up and organizing financial records, supporting billing, and managing payroll entries. Salary Range: $25.00 – $33.00 / hour DOE

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Process payables, manage vendor payments, and coordinate check runs
• Oversee billing through QuickBooks and external construction platforms
• Prepare billing documentation and schedules of values (SOVs)
• Manage lien waivers and collections on past-due receivables
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and enter payroll for reconciliation
• Organize financials for quarterly tax prep and CPA review
• Cross-train to provide backup support for payroll processing

Bookkeeper Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry
• Recent experience with QuickBooks Contractor’s Edition
• Familiarity with lien waivers, SOVs, and construction billing platforms
• Ability to budget and manage finances under challenging conditions
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and general computer proficiency
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
