Job Description

A growing and innovative manufacturer of architectural stucco and wall finishes is seeking a Director of Technical Support and Production to oversee product manufacturing, provide technical expertise to clients, and support internal teams across the company. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone with deep knowledge of stucco products, a construction background, and a desire to grow into a key leadership position. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys solving problems, supporting job sites, and leading from the field as well as the office.

Salary Range: $140,000 – $165,000 / year DOE

Director of Technical Support and Production Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical expert for product applications and systems, providing guidance to architects, contractors, and internal teams
  • Lead and support manufacturing operations, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to company standards
  • Oversee and support job sites when necessary, advising subcontractors on proper application methods and resolving technical issues
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support product presentations and respond to technical questions
  • Work closely with architects to evaluate drawings and specifications, providing tailored recommendations for stucco system applications
  • Respond to and troubleshoot product or application challenges in the field
  • Provide input on product improvements, training needs, and quality control initiatives
  • Manage cross-functional communication between departments including manufacturing, sales, and site support
  • Travel as needed to job sites, presentations, and client meetings

Director of Technical Support and Production Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical stucco or plaster manufacturing and construction support
  • Proven background working with architects, construction professionals, and job site subcontractors
  • Management experience with the ability to oversee cross-departmental functions
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on project needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient, persuasive, and solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced, tight-knit environment
  • No degree required
  • Experience at a direct competitor in stucco or wall finish manufacturing is a plus
  • Knowledge of building envelope systems and drywall applications is preferred
  • Familiarity with both office-based operations and hands-on job site challenges.
