A global manufacturing and technology company located in Wilmington, Massachusetts is hiring a Maintenance Manager to oversee equipment maintenance and drive preventative strategies in a 24/7 production environment. Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks to ensure efficient, uninterrupted production operations
  • Lead and mentor technicians across mechanical, electrical, and PLC-based systems, promoting team development
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifecycle
  • Act as key liaison between maintenance, machine shop, and external vendors to streamline repairs and improvements
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and hydraulic equipment to quickly resolve complex operational issues
  • Oversee safety compliance by conducting inspections, meetings, and ensuring adherence to internal protocols
  • Apply LEAN principles and TPM strategies to increase equipment reliability and optimize plant performance

Maintenance Manager Requirements:

  • 7+ years working with production equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including electro-mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies and reliability practices
  • Experience leading maintenance teams or mentoring junior technicians is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing and TPM methodologies
  • High level of computer literacy for documentation and ERP system use
  • Vocational certifications or relevant licenses (HVAC, millwright, electrician) are a plus
