Job Description

A booming general contractor is seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Manager to serve as the onsite leader for safety oversight and OSHA compliance on major commercial and government construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring all personnel follow proper safety protocols and project activities align with company and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about jobsite safety, leadership, and proactive problem-solving. They are looking for a safety-driven professional with field experience and a strong ability to communicate, enforce policy, and maintain high standards across complex, high-security sites.

Construction Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily safety meetings and site walkthroughs to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal protocols
  • Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and PPE usage
  • Enforce site safety requirements including tie-offs, ladder protocols, and general hazard prevention
  • Serve as the liaison between jobsite personnel and senior management, providing regular safety updates
  • Complete and maintain daily safety documentation and digital reporting
  • Monitor all active work zones and personnel on-site to uphold jobsite safety and security
  • Support accident prevention efforts and contribute to the company’s overall safety culture
  • Work under federal guidelines on highly secure job sites

Construction Safety Manager Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience overseeing construction safety or QA supervision, superintendent experience acceptable
  • OSHA 30 certification required
  • Experience managing commercial or government projects of $2M+ in value
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Procore
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Strong awareness and enforcement of safety best practices
  • Ability to work onsite 6AM–5PM and adapt to earlier schedules during extreme weather
  • Excellent communication, assertiveness, and leadership skills
  • CPR certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with federal safety protocols preferred
