Job Description

A trusted leader in Colorado’s civil construction industry is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations on heavy civil paving and underground utility projects. You will drive jobsite performance, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and serve as the critical communication point between field teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders. They are looking for a proactive, tech-savvy leader with hands-on civil field experience and a deep understanding of CDOT, FAA, municipal, and mainline paving projects. Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 / year DOE

Superintendent Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily on-site operations for civil paving and underground utility projects
  • Enforce jobsite safety compliance with OSHA and company protocols
  • Conduct safety orientations, training, and manage on-site security
  • Collaborate with project managers to plan schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Review plans, drawings, and design changes for scope, cost, and schedule impact
  • Monitor material deliveries and update field documentation accordingly
  • Ensure work quality and manage subcontractors and internal crews to meet job specs
  • Attend and contribute to weekly/monthly project reviews and progress updates
  • Communicate proactively with GCs, owners, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite and identify and resolve issues early
  • Support field crews and jump in when needed

Superintendent Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction
  • Direct experience with CDOT, FAA, municipal, and mainline paving projects
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and interact with subcontractors and inspectors professionally
  • Technically skilled in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and project management software
  • Familiarity with systems such as HCSS Heavy Bid, B2W, Procore, or Bluebeam
  • Comfortable reading blueprints and managing documentation
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative leadership style=””>#LI-CM1
