A premier subcontractor in Chicago is seeking an experienced Demolition Estimator to join their high-performing team. This is a hands-on, field-integrated position responsible for leading the full preconstruction and estimating process for interior and total building demolition projects across sectors including healthcare, retail, residential, and industrial.

The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, and skilled in both takeoffs and cost analysis. Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 / year DOE

Demolition Estimator Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope and cost
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit competitive, accurate bids and proposals on multiple projects weekly
• Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and subcontractors to gather data and pricing
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations for demolition work
• Conduct site visits as needed to assess logistics and execution plans
• Maintain organized documentation and continuously track and refine cost data
• Assist with occasional project management duties if needed

Demolition Estimator Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a demolition estimator
• Strong understanding of demolition construction methods and safety standards
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing takeoffs
• Field experience and willingness to be onsite regularly
• Experience with Procore and/or Sage Timberline preferred
• Prior experience working for a demolition subcontractor is strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and a high level of confidence and initiative
• Must live within 1 hour of the office
