Job Description

A growing provider of workplace solutions is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to spearhead B2B growth across NYC and New Jersey. This high-impact, client-facing role centers on hunting, closing, and expanding business with mid-to-large corporate clients. The representative will manage a mix of cold outreach and inbound leads, conduct in-person visits in Manhattan 2–3 times per week, and partner with a skilled internal team to ensure smooth post-sale execution. The ideal candidate is a confident, results-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the thrill of the chase, and brings both personality and precision to every client interaction.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $90,000 / year DOE

Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Conduct warm calls to potential clients to generate leads and expand the customer base
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage client accounts, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies and enhance brand visibility in the market
  • Provide technical sales support by understanding product specifications and effectively communicating benefits to clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that showcase our products and services, addressing client needs and concerns
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities

Outside Sales Representative Requirements: 

  • Proven experience in business development or account management within a sales environment for at least 3 years
  • Office breakroom sales experience is heavily weighted, but not mandatory
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clients and internal team members at all levels
  • A background in technical sales is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and goal-oriented environment
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving growth
  • 5+ years of professional workforce experience
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
