A leader in precision-engineered metal components for the garage door industry is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations during an exciting period of transformation and growth. Controller Responsibilities:

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support business decision-making
• Manage and develop a team of three
• Oversee accounting operations including GL, payroll, inventory control, job costing, and compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee tax filings, internal controls, and risk management procedures
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and third-party service providers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems, support strategic projects, and ensure SOX readiness
• Contribute to enterprise-level initiatives in partnership with the parent company

Controller Requirements:

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3–5 years in management
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Proven ability to lead teams and implement process improvements
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• CPA strongly preferred; CMA a plus
• Manufacturing or distribution industry background is a plus
• SOX compliance experience is preferred
• Master’s degree or Big 4 background is a plus
