A thriving CPA firm is seeking an experienced and collaborative Tax Manager to join their growing team of tax professionals. This individual will take ownership of a portfolio of complex clients, working hands-on to prepare and review tax returns, manage client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams on strategic planning and compliance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical expertise in corporate and partnership taxation and a proactive, team-first attitude.

Tax Manager Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for corporate entities and pass-through entities
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, providing strategic tax guidance and maintaining client relationships
• Mentor junior staff and provide hands-on support as needed to complete high-quality deliverables
• Partner with outside advisors to deliver coordinated services
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and deadlines
• Participate in special projects, tax planning, and process improvement initiatives
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends relevant to high-net-worth individuals and businesses

Tax Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or EA designation
• 5+ years of public accounting experience, with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation
• 2+ years of supervisory or tax review experience
• Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and tax return preparation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with CCH tax software is preferred
• Strong client communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism
