Job Description
A wonderful family is seeking a reliable and experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to provide full-time care and support in their Aurora, CO home. This unique role blends childcare with household assistance and requires a highly organized, proactive, and nurturing professional. You’ll play a key part in supporting two young children while keeping the household running smoothly. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with children, and can anticipate needs before being asked.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 / year DOE
Nanny/Family Assistant Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare and serve meals/snacks; assist with hygiene and dressing
- Plan outings and educational play
- Maintain cleanliness of child’s playroom and bedroom
- Do child’s laundry and change linens weekly
- Unload dishwasher and clean children’s dishware
- Grocery shopping and meal prep as directed
- Wash and prep fruits/veggies twice a week
- Manage service appointments and errands
- Communicate daily updates through Skylight Calendar App
- Stay accessible by phone during working hours
- Send updates/photos throughout the day
- Notify the family of low household supplies
Nanny/Family Assistant Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years of nanny and household assistant experience
- Must pass background check and provide professional references
- CPR and First Aid certification, required within 30 days
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Strong communicator with a “go-getter” attitude
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Experience using household management apps
- Previous experience with busy, professional families is a plus
- Ability to track and manage household inventory is preferred
