Job Description

A leading multifamily general contractor based in Madison, WI, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Site Superintendent to oversee the successful execution of large-scale multifamily and mixed-use construction projects. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leadership role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to grow with a company that values trust, teamwork, and long-term commitment. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, tech-savvy construction leader with a proven ability to manage complex field operations, subcontractors, and site safety.

Site Superintendent Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily on-site construction activities for projects ranging from $15M–$60M in scope
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and the company’s personnel to ensure safe, quality, and timely execution
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintain clean and organized job sites and trailers
  • Serve as liaison with owners, architects, engineers, and local officials to ensure project alignment
  • Track project milestones and maintain all documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain schedules and monitor budgets
  • Support jobsite closeouts including punch lists, commissioning, and owner training
  • Contribute to staff development and company-wide field competency initiatives

Site Superintendent Requirements:

  • 2–3+ years of Superintendent experience
  • Experience managing ground-up multifamily or commercial projects
  • High school diploma required
  • OSHA 30 and industry certifications preferred
  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Proficiency in construction tech tools: Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, Adobe, Microsoft 365
  • Excellent communication, team leadership, and scheduling skills
  • Willingness to be fully onsite and hands-on daily
  • Experience in managing precast and wood-frame structures is a plus
  • Knowledge of HUD or affordable housing standards is preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean/Agile processes in construction environments
