Job Description

A nationally recognized law firm specializing in labor and employment law is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Associate for its Seattle office. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with top-tier clients, handling a wide range of employment litigation matters. The ideal candidate will manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, handling discovery, arguing motions, and participating in depositions. Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 / year DOE

Employment Litigation Associate Responsibilities:

  • Handle employment litigation matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour disputes
  • Draft and respond to discovery, initial pleadings, dispositive motions, and agency position statements
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Advise clients on workplace policies and day-to-day employment law issues
  • Collaborate with multiple partners across a variety of cases under the firm’s free market assignment system
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Employment Litigation Associate Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of employment litigation experience required
  • Barred and in good standing in Washington State
  • Strong litigation experience and demonstrated interest in employment law
  • Experience defending employers in complex employment disputes
  • Excellent academic credentials, strong writing, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable drafting and arguing motions and handling depositions
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience advising clients on workplace policies is a plus
