A premier hardwood flooring distributor known for its involvement in major commercial and sports projects is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. In this role, you will manage complex projects, provide exceptional customer support to architects, designers, and subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. This is not a typical call center role; they are looking for a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 / year DOE

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

• Manage and support active client accounts simultaneously
• Handle large-scale commercial and sports projects from order placement through final delivery
• Communicate regularly with architects, designers, and subcontractors to coordinate project needs
• Process and manage customer orders with attention to logistics, timing, and project requirements
• Provide outstanding phone support, serving as a key point of contact for customer inquiries
• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues as they arise
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, project tracking, and communications
• Learn and adapt to a new CRM system as it’s implemented

Customer Service Specialist Requirements:

• 2+ years of customer service or inside sales support experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel skills preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable handling regular client phone calls
• Ability to multitask and manage several ongoing projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems and processes
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred
• Interest in architecture, design, marketing, or sports is a plus
