A reputable, family-owned CPA firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their close-knit team in Tampa. Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with tax return preparation during tax season
• Write checks and handle basic client payment processing
• Collaborate directly with clients to address accounting-related inquiries

Accountant Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including journal entries, sales tax returns, month-end close, and reconciliations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• QuickBooks proficiency required
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience preparing or assisting with tax returns
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions
• Prior experience working in a CPA firm is a plus
• Familiarity with Thompson Reuters, SharePro, and Go File Room systems
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities or clients simultaneously
