Job Description
A respected leader in industrial real estate development is seeking an experienced and personable Accounting Manager to join their close-knit and highly collaborative team. This role will oversee critical accounting functions, including month-end close, payables, treasury operations, and payroll. The ideal candidate is an accounting professional who enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented culture and is passionate about driving efficiency and process improvements.
Salary Range: $140,000 – $155,000 / year DOE
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting processes, including debits/credits, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations
- Manage and coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities
- Supervise one Accounts Payable staff member and oversee the payables process
- Lead treasury functions, including bank draws, loan payments, and cash flow monitoring
- Serve as backup for payroll processing
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
- Identify process improvements, particularly around accounting systems and technology
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning using Excel
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support growth initiatives and the establishment of new entities
Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 15 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes
- Experience handling treasury functions and coordinating with banks
- Proficient in Excel and experience with JD Edwards preferred
- Prior experience with payroll processing; ADP preferred
- Real estate industry experience highly preferred
- Must live within a reasonable commute to Carson, CA
- Professional and collaborative demeanor with a willingness to pitch in across departments
