Job Description
A fast-growing consumer brand known for its customizable, culture-driven timepieces is seeking a creative and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead its sales expansion efforts across retail, brand partnerships, and experiential marketing. This fully remote role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive retail growth, forge cultural partnerships, and establish brand presence through pop-up activations and events. The ideal candidate is both a seller and a strategist, someone who understands the art of building brand momentum and thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. The company is looking for a highly self-motivated individual with strong cultural awareness and a proven track record in consumer-facing business development. This role is well-suited for someone who is trend-savvy, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to take full ownership from day one.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new retail partners and brand collaborations
- Develop strategic plans to expand the company’s physical and digital retail presence
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of leads and sales opportunities
- Plan and execute pop-up experiences and cultural activations in key US markets
- Pitch and negotiate partnership opportunities with retailers, co-sellers, and cultural brands
- Generate creative sales and marketing ideas tailored to fashion, lifestyle=””>Report on sales performance and growth strategies to leadership
- Travel as needed to domestic events or retail locations, with occasional travel to headquarters abroad
Business Development Manager Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing for a consumer-facing brand
- Demonstrated success growing retail channels or partnerships in fashion, lifestyle=””>Creative thinker with the ability to craft and pitch compelling brand stories
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable working with limited structure
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of US market trends and cultural movements
- Appreciation for global cultures and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
