Job Description

A leading processor of U.S. farm-raised catfish and select seafood products is seeking a skilled Maintenance/Electronic Technician to join their team in Isola, Mississippi. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technician who excels in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, leading maintenance projects, and ensuring smooth facility operations. Maintenance/Electronic Technician Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance, in a food plant or related industrial setting 
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with 3-phase motors, inverters, and PLC equipment 
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for electrical and mechanical systems 
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, scale calibration (Marel Graders), and basic PC/network operations 
  • Leadership skills—prior experience supervising projects or teams is a plus 
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently 
  • Certifications in CMRT, PLC, or OSHA; associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field preferred 

Maintenance/Electronic Technician Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine and advanced maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems 
  • Troubleshoot issues using schematics and replace components like motors and inverters 
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including Marel Graders and pneumatic systems 
  • Lead maintenance projects, ensuring safety compliance and best practices 
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and collaborate with the team to support facility operations 
  • Shadow the retiring technician to learn company-specific processes before their departure
