Job Description
A national insurance litigation firm is seeking an Litigation Attorney to lead insurance litigation cases involving both subrogation and defense work. With a docket of 25–40 complex cases, this role offers the opportunity to work autonomously on high-impact matters while contributing to the continued growth of a thriving national firm. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least 5 years of insurance defense or related litigation experience. This role offers a path to partnership, origination bonuses, and true autonomy in managing your cases.
Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of complex insurance litigation matters on both the defense and plaintiff-side
- Handle litigation from A to Z including client contact, pleadings, depositions, hearings, and trial prep
- Contribute to business development through speaking engagements, client seminars, and networking
- Support junior attorneys and collaborate with the broader team
- Meet monthly billable targets
Litigation Attorney Requirements:
- 5+ years of complex litigation experience within Insurance Defense or a closely related field
- Barred and in good standing in Texas
- Comfortable handling both plaintiff and defense work
- Experience with depositions, hearings, and trials strongly preferred
- Portable book of business is a plus but not required
- Interested in partnership and/or building a book of business
