A leading manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Controller for their Livermore, CA location. In this critical role, you will oversee financial operations for the facility, manage general ledger responsibilities, supervise accounting staff, and partner with operational leadership to drive business success. They are looking for a hands-on leader with strong communication skills who can take initiative, demonstrate acute attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Salary Range: $145,000 – $150,000 / year DOE

Manufacturing Controller Responsibilities:

• Manage all general ledger accounting functions including month-end entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Oversee both balance sheet and P&L responsibilities
• Supervise a team of 2-3 staff
• Monitor cash management and maintain awareness of overall cash position
• Manage AP/AR operations to ensure timely processing of receivables and payables
• Drive expectations for account reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all financial processes
• Develop and maintain financial reporting for management review
• Work collaboratively with General Manager, Sales Manager, and Customer Service Manager
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures
•  Ensure timely delivery of projects and reports from team members
• Apply manufacturing cost accounting principles to support operational decision-making
• Analyze customer profitability and communicate insights to leadership

Manufacturing Controller Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger knowledge
• Minimum 2 years of recent manufacturing experience, particularly with cost accounting
• 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Experience in a company with $30+ million annual revenue
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to work onsite full-time in Livermore, CA
• Experience with Great Plains, Jet Reports, and/or Encore by Amtec is a plus
• Knowledge of customer profitability analysis is preferred
