A renowned construction company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their growing team. In this role, you will focus on quantity take-offs, cost estimating, developing complete bid packages, and coordinating with sales to build accurate project estimates. You will be responsible for estimating a wide range of concrete and civil construction projects, from athletic fields to specialty surfaces, while working closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a team player who can manage high-volume work efficiently, contribute new ideas, and adapt to a fast-paced and growing environment.

Estimator/Senior Estimator Responsibilities: 

• Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed estimates from specifications and blueprints
• Complete bid packets including labor, equipment, and material cost breakdowns
• Coordinate closely with sales representatives to finalize estimates
• Obtain and integrate quotes from subcontractors and vendors into estimating spreadsheets
• Utilize a hard-coded estimating format with pre-populated pricing templates
• Estimate project scopes ranging from $2,500 to $5 million in size
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously during peak seasons
• Maintain clear communication with the CFO and production teams on project status
• Support continuous improvements to the estimating processes and systems

Estimator/Senior Estimator Requirements: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating civil construction projects
• Proven ability to estimate projects valued at $1 million or more
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from project specifications and blueprints
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high volumes of work
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week with possible hybrid flexibility
