Job Description
A leading global law firm in Redwood City, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This role offers a blend of hybrid work, collaboration within a small, close-knit team, and a wide variety of responsibilities, ranging from legal research to case management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in securities litigation, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 / year DOE
Senior Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys and team members throughout all phases of litigation
- Conduct legal and factual research, including cite-checking and proofreading of briefs
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests for attorney review and approval
- Manage and monitor case files efficiently, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all team members
- Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including preparing summaries, organizing exhibits, and coordinating with court reporters
- Stay informed on legal developments and changes in securities litigation practices
- Mentor and support junior paralegals and attorneys, fostering professional growth within the team
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Senior Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a paralegal, ideally with 10+ years in securities litigation
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Proficiency in document management software, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong research skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in a large law firm environment, particularly in securities litigation
- Active California Notary registration is preferred, or a strong interest in obtaining certification
