A booming construction company is seeking an experienced Quality Control System Manager to oversee their project in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of their quality control program, including design, monitoring, and assurance while providing leadership to project-based quality control personnel. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring all work meets or exceeds government standards, with daily interaction with government QA representatives. They are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical writing skills who can maintain transparent communication and proactively identify and solve problems.

Salary Range: $150,000 – $190,000 / year DOE

Quality Control System Manager Responsibilities:

  • Interface daily with government Quality Assurance representatives
  • Observe and monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Review and submit documentation to government agencies
  • Oversee documentation from subcontractors
  • Coordinate with QC consultants and testing agencies to schedule and review work
  • Supervise project engineers and delegate tasks as needed
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional communication across all channels
  • Proactively identify potential issues and communicate them promptly
  • Ensure full transparency in all quality-related matters
  • Operate in a 6-weeks-on, 2-weeks-off rotation schedule

Quality Control System Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience
  • Minimum 5 years of quality control management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of quality experience with government contracts or government-awarded projects
  • Experience with projects in the $5-50 million range
  • Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification
  • Proficiency with RMS document control system
  • Experience with USACE projects
  • Exceptional technical writing skills
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualification to operate a vehicle
  • Proficiency with quality management software
