Job Description
A custom finish carpentry company in Indio, CA is seeking a Finish Carpentry Superintendent to oversee finish carpentry projects, with a focus on window and door installations for high-end residential new builds. This role will be split between working in the office and the field, ensuring bids are completed accurately, materials are ordered, work is scheduled properly, and projects are executed on time and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finish carpentry or window and door installations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with general contractors, installers, and high-end clients.
Salary Range: $72,000 – $90,000 / year DOE
Finish Carpentry Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Bid jobs including labor and material costs with a high level of accuracy
- Meet with clients and general contractors to review project scopes
- Order materials and ensure timely delivery to job sites
- Coordinate installation crews and confirm project schedules with GC superintendents
- Perform quality control checks on installations for safety, cleanliness, and precision
- Oversee field operations for new construction and remodel projects
- Manage change orders and maintain organized project documentation
- Read and interpret plans and specifications accurately
- Communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally with high-end clients
- Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Paradigm, and Procore systems
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain high attention to detail in all aspects of field and office work
Finish Carpentry Superintendent Requirements:
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in window and door installation or expert-level finish carpentry experience in residential custom builds
- Strong technology proficiency knowledge of related field technology
- Ability to read plans and accurately compile bids for labor and product costs
- Solid understanding of hanging slab doors, pivot doors, sliding glass doors, and installing high-end aluminum windows
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high-end clients
- Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of projects
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
