A leading law firm in the legal services industry, with a large U.S. presence, is seeking a talented Employment & Labor Associate to join their St. Louis office. This role is ideal for individuals with significant experience defending employment-related cases and managing client relationships. Employment & Labor Associate Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients in employment cases, managing discovery and drafting motions
  • Take and defend depositions, providing strategic case management
  • Represent clients in hearings and trials, offering legal counsel and support
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategies and defense
  • Manage a portfolio of employment law cases, ensuring client satisfaction and effective resolutions
  • Assist in mentoring junior associates, promoting teamwork and growth
  • Contribute to firm initiatives and business development efforts within the employment law department

Employment & Labor Associate Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in defending employment-related cases
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Missouri
  • Strong experience in labor and employment law, particularly litigation
  • Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in iManage or willingness to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong initiative and work ethic, with a desire to grow within a team-oriented firm
