A financial services company is seeking a proactive, detail-driven Client Accountant to join their growing team. In this critical role, you will manage monthly financial close processes for a portfolio of client accounts, oversee reconciliations, ensure compliance, and contribute to process improvements. Client Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly close process for a portfolio of client accounts
• Perform reconciliations of cash, assets, and general ledger accounts
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate with clients regarding financial activity and inquiries
• Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies during close
• Complete and manage daily accounting task lists
• Identify and implement technology-driven process improvements
• Assist in onboarding and transitioning to new accounting software platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and investment teams

Client Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of overall accounting experience, including 2+ years of financial statement preparation
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• High aptitude for learning and implementing new technology and systems
• Project management mindset with strong attention to detail
• Analytical problem-solver with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with portfolio or bond accounting is a plus
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Fiserv, or Prologue software
• Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus
• CPA or MS in Accounting is preferred but not required
