A growing nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a proactive and experienced Access Manager to oversee daily operations across three clinic locations in New York City. This is a new, full-time position responsible for managing front desk staff, coordinating provider schedules, and ensuring seamless patient experiences from arrival through service completion. The Access Manager will play a key role in streamlining clinic operations, supervising access and intake processes, and supporting a high-functioning and tenured administrative team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, bilingual in English and Spanish, with a background in medical office management and a passion for community-based care. 

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 / year DOE  

Access Manager Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily operations and patient flow at multiple clinic locations 
• Supervise 10–12 front desk and reception staff 
• Schedule administrative staff to ensure front desk coverage 
• Monitor and coordinate provider appointment schedules 
• Ensure accurate documentation and intake processes 
• Manage availability and distribution of patient transit benefits 
• Maintain up-to-date records in the electronic health record system 
• Communicate with medical records staff and providers regularly 
• Resolve patient service issues and support access initiatives 
• Reconcile appointment records and patient service data 
• Lead with empathy and professionalism in a busy, high-needs environment 

Access Manager Requirements: 

• Bilingual in English and Spanish 
• High school diploma 
• 2+ years managing a medical or clinical office 
• 2+ years supervising administrative staff 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Experience working with diverse patient and staff populations
