A manufacturing company is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing U.S. sales team. In this high-impact, high-travel role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities primarily in the oil & gas sector. From cold outreach and trade shows to managing ongoing client relationships, you’ll take full ownership of the sales cycle—from first contact to closing the deal and growing the account. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, solutions-driven hunter who thrives on building business from the ground up and is excited to grow with a global company making major moves in North America.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in oil & gas and related industrial sectors
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and presentations to account management and retention
  • Travel extensively to meet with prospects and customers, primarily in TX, OK, and LA
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and networking events
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and understand client needs
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive activity
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage pipeline and sales activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer expectations

Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with a strong focus on hunting and closing
  • Proven ability to manage a sales territory independently and meet/exceed goals
  • Experience in industrial, oil & gas, energy, rail, wind, or manufacturing sectors is a plus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Comfortable learning technical product details and explaining value to customers
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus
