A reputable and growing manufacturing company in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee its accounting operations. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for month-end close, AP/AR, billing, insurance handling, and supervision of two team members. You’ll also serve as the main liaison with the company’s external CPA.

Full-Charge Bookkeeper Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, billing, payroll support, and reconciliations
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting
• Handle insurance-related tasks and coordinate with the company’s external CPA firm
• Review and issue customer invoices; follow up on payments
• Supervise and mentor an accounting assistant and purchasing agent
• Maintain and enter data into QuickBooks Online
• Process invoices every week and ensure timely and accurate financial documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting best practices and company standards

Full-Charge Bookkeeper Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a small business or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience managing or mentoring a small team
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; deadline-driven with great attention to detail
• Comfortable working onsite full-time in a busy, hands-on environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Background in manufacturing, plumbing, or oil/gas industries is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with billing for service-based jobs
